Douglas Roman

Douglas W. Roman, 58, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 20, 2021. He built an amazing life in Evergreen, CO with his adoring wife of 32 years, Suzanne, and their two beautiful children, Shawn and Rachele. Doug was born on June 19, 1962, in Plainfield, New Jersey, to Carl and Audrey Roman. Doug had an associate degree in Computer Science and worked in that field for his entire career. He was such an asset and was well respected. He kept learning and striving for a better life for himself and his loved family. If you knew Doug, you loved Doug. And his love in return was unconditional. He had a sense of humor that would make you laugh, even if you didn†™t want to. There was nothing he loved more than his family, but he also loved riding dirt bikes and his ATV (Can-Am to be specific). He was always working with his hands. He could build anything. He could fix anything. Suzanne, the love of his life, his high school sweetheart. He loved her so much. From the moment they met 39 years ago, they were known as Suzanne and Doug: a union, not individuals. From the family vacations to home improvement projects, they did everything together. He worked so hard for the sole purpose to give his family the best life possible. Doug cared for and loved his entire family. He was a loving father. Doug taught his son, Shawn, to ski at the age of three. One of Shawn†™s earliest memories are of playing baseball with his father in the backyard of their first house. Rachele†™s fondest memories with her daddy were plowing with him on the ATV, bike riding at Flying J Ranch, helping him with firewood, and hearing him always say how beautiful she is. In the winter, Doug would wake up early just to warm Rachele†™s car up for her. Doug was always there for his children and will forever watch over them as they continue their path down life. Doug was preceded in death by his father Carl and his loving companion, Skye. He is survived by his wife Suzanne, his son Shawn, his daughter Rachele, his granddaughter Madison, his mother Audrey, his brothers Carl and Dale, and several nieces and nephews. A memorial mass to honor Doug will be held on Tuesday, March 30, 2021, at 1:00 pm at Christ the King Catholic Church located at 4291 Evergreen Parkway in Evergreen, CO.
