We are sadden to announce that our dear Valdemar Gonzalez age 47, has passed away after a courageous battle at JFK Hospital on February 16, 2025.
Valdemar was born in Clewiston, Florida on April 7, 1977. He worked for United States Sugar Corporation of many years. He was of the Catholic Faith. He enjoyed spending time rooting for his Miami Dolphins and spending time with his family and friends.
Valdemar leaves fond memories with his parents; Martin and Maria Gutierrez, his long time companion; Sandy Ortiz, his two children; Jazzlyn and Julian Gonzalez and his brother; Gabriel Gonzalez and all of his loving extended family and friends.
Mass of Christian burial will take place at 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 21, 2025 at St. Margaret Catholic Church in Clewiston. Visitation will be held from 5-7 pm on Thursday, February 20, 2025 at the Akin-Davis Funeral Home in Clewiston. Valdemar will be laid to rest in Ridgelawn Cemetery.
