On 23 August 1961 heaven sent a very beautiful baby girl to Daniel and Imogene Bitson of Tulsa, Oklahoma the baby girl of the family. She was always warming and loving with a heart of gold to herself and others. She attended the local schools in Tulsa Oklahoma, Ralph Bunch, Marian Anderson and Booker T. Washington High School. She earned an Associate of Biblical Studies from Vision International University an Associate of Science in Management and Bachelor of Science Degree in Management/Human Resources from Park University. She also received a Masters of Arts in Family Life Education and was currently in pursuit of her Doctorate degree at Liberty University.
She accepted the Lord at an early and was really in love with the Lord and was not afraid to show it. She ministered to those in prison as well as others she met, overseas, at her jobs, churches, stores you name it. One of her favorite saying was, “God does not waste our time.”
She met Harold L. Reed Jr. at the age of fifteen (High school sweethearts) and they were united in marriage at the Justice of the peace at the age of twenty and remained married for forty three years and to that union were born three lovely children.
She closed out the final chapter of this life on January 14, 2025 to take up a new life in heaven. She leaves to cherish her precious memory to her husband Harold Jr., her daughter Leonisha Shaneic (Because she will be unique), and her two son’s Harold III and Isaiah Sr., three grandchildren, two brothers Dan Bitson Sr. and Michael Bitson of Tulsa Oklahoma, a host of relatives, co-workers and friends.
She will be dearly missed and may the impact she made live on. In the final words of our dear sister, “God is closer to you than the air you breathe and I don’t shake hands, I accept hugs!” Hug someone today!
Funeral services for Mrs. Reed will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025, 11:00 am. at Rost Funeral Home 500 N. 18th E. Mountain Home, ID 83647.
