In Loving Memory
Kelly Anne Merritt Amick (60), passed away February 15, 2025, at Lexington Medical Center, after a long battle with Lupus. She was born January 6, 1965 in Columbia SC to Richard A. and Brenda Wallace Merritt.
Kelly graduated from Brookland Cayce High School where she was band Drum Major her Junior and Senior years. She received Associate Degrees from Midlands Technical College in Dental Assisting and Dental Hygiene and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration from Columbia College. She retired from the South Carolina Department of Revenue in October, 2024 after 29 years of service.
Kelly was a member of St. David Lutheran Church in West Columbia SC.
She is survived by her husband, Mark E. Amick; her son, Hannon Michael Amick, her parents, her Mother-In-Law, Annette Amick, Brother and Sister-in-Law, Bruce and Cindy Amick.
Kelly will be missed by loving Kibler and Merritt cousins and friends and co-workers.
Kelly was predeceased by her brother Richard Allen Merritt, Jr. paternal grandparents, William Bryant and Nettie Boozer Merritt; maternal grandparents, Millard Wiley and Beatrice Kibler Wallace of Newberry, SC; uncle and aunt, William B. and Virginia Merritt; Father-in-Law, Harold Leonard Amick, Brother-in-Law, Greg Amick.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2: 00pm February 21, 2025 at St David Lutheran Church, West Columbia with burial at Newberry Memorial Gardens, Newberry, SC. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
Suggest memorials be made to Samaritan's Purse to benefit North Carolina residents recently affected by storm disaster.
