May 8th, 1947 - December 28th, 2022
Gary Donald Schultz passed away on December 28, 2022 at the age of 75. Gary was born in Elkhorn, Wisconsin & moved to Oregon with his parents Dohald & Phyllis (Wescom) Schultz, at age 2. Gary attended Lynch Schools & graduated from Centennial H.S. in 1965. After serving as la radio operator in Viet Nam, he attended Oregon Technical Institute, later working at Tektronix & Mentor Graphics. Gary gave tests to future ham radio operators & was part of the City of Portland's first response team. Forever a fan of the Seattle Mariners and Green Bay Packers. Gary married Penny (Ralston) Schultz on August 22, 1970. Son Jason was born in 1974 & twin daughters Alison & Bethany in 1977. Grandchildren MacKenzie, Kailee, Hunter, Kelsey & Alexis. Great grandsons Levi & Ethan. Great granddaughter Evelyn's due March, 2023. Gary was preceded in death by his parents. Private interment is scheduled. At Wilhelm's Portland Memorial, we have a rich history dating back to 1901 when we became the first crematory west of the Mississippi River, known then as The Portland Cremation Association. Our historic chapel, marked by its cornerstone placed on February 5th, 1901, has stood the test of time. Today, our memorial site spans 8 stories, approximately 7 miles of corridors of beautifully preserved architecture, and the largest mausoleum on the west coast, spanning 2.5 city blocks....
