Kenneth Edward Boetel
September 17th, 1934 - May 6th, 2021
Kenneth Edward Boetel (†œEd†�) of Denver, Colorado was a devoted husband, father, father-in-law, brother, uncle and grandfather. Ed passed away peacefully on Thursday May 6th, 2021 at the age of 86 after a long battle with cancer. He was born to Kenneth M. and Ann Boetel in 1934 in Omaha, Nebraska. Ed had three siblings, Bob, Judy, and his late brother Vernie. Ed and Beverly, his loving wife of 52 years, married in 1968 and went on to have three adoring daughters, Debbie (Andy) Peterson, Lisa (Eddie) Grose, and Teresa (Eric) Thompson. He was a proud grandfather to Kristen, Jessica, Lyndsey (Mohammad), Jordan, Hope and Eric and a loving uncle to his many nieces and nephews. Ed was an outstanding athlete who excelled in wrestling and in football as a running back. After school, Ed served his country in the Marine Corps Reserves prior to starting his career. He thrived as an electrician for the IBEW and was highly respected for his efforts to maintain union values and integrity and ended his career fulfilling his passion for union rights as an assistant business agent for Local 68. Ed retired at 62 years of age and filled his days with watching and playing golf, bowling, watching Jeopardy, and spending time with his family and friends and beloved dog Bella. Ed was known for his humor, sarcastic wit and fierce commitment to those he loved - once a friend of Ed†™s you were a friend for life. Ed cherished his family and was blessed to have them by his side during his final moments. Ed†™s wishes for a small outdoor celebration of life will be honored at a date to be determined.
