Sharon Kay Panas passed on from this world to a better happy place on June 16 2021. She is survived by her husband Milt Panas, Mother Kathy Mustin, Sister Joyce Mustin (Mark Gaterud), Brothers David Mustin (Patricia) and Steven Mustin (Chrissey), Nieces and Nephews Brad Lovelace, Katherine Lovelace, Geena Mustin, and Eric Mustin, Aunts Antoinette Rizzo and Gloria Rizzo, In-laws Fannie and Jim Panas, and Stasia Long, her loving Terrier Toula, and a multitude of cousins, friends, co-workers, and customers. Sharon was born in Sept 1961 in San Fransisco CA to Kathy and Dick Mustin. She grew up in Daly City, Walnut Creek, San Francisco and South San Francisco, attending South San Francisco Senior High School (1980). While she was a bit shy in her early school years, she outgrew it and at the age of 18, she ventured out on her own in her blue Mustang to continue her wonderful journey through life. She started working at PG&E as a Secretary and attended Golden Gate University at night where she graduated with a BS in Management in 1990. She then used her degree to start her career as an Account Rep in PG&E. She married Ronald J Vance on May 21, 1988, with whom she started her travels around the world until their separation in 1993 and subsequent divorce. In Sept 1994, she met Milt Panas at a Salsa Bar in Mountain View CA during one of her Thirsty Thursday gatherings. After a whirl wind long distance romance between California and Colorado, Sharon and Milt were engaged in March of 1995 along the Bridal Veil Falls in Yosemite Natl Park. Sharon then moved to Colorado to be with Milt and to continue her wonderful journey and travels. Sharon started working for Public Service/Xcel Energy as an Account Rep in April, Sharon and Milt built their current house in Arvada, moving in June 1996, and married Sept 21, 1996 in Hot Sulfur Springs/Winter Park CO. Sharon spent the next 25 years living in Colorado, but vacationing everywhere she could. She became an avid scuba diver and mountain biker (both better than Milt), downhill skier, trail and mountain hiker (climbing 14 14ers), and started road biking enough to complete the 80 mile Copper Triangle. She loved the outdoors and the mountains, and was always eager to try new things, but always needed to get back to an ocean often. Everyone loved Sharon, her family, her friends, her co-workers, and her customers. Her smile, laugh, and beautiful blue eyes were infectious. In the last years of Sharons journey, she was slowed by a series of ailments, but she pushed though them like the fighter that she was and continued to travel and have fun until the Brain Cancer ended her journey much too early and much too young. We will all miss her dearly. Places vacationed: Australia, Paris, Greece, Italy, Japan, Cozumel, Cancun, Porta Vallarta, Cabo, Fiji, Palau & Yap, Maldives, Cayman Islands, Belize, ABC Islands, St Lucia, St Thomas, BVIs, Costa Rica, Turks & Caicos, Hawaii, Alaska, South Dakota, Santa Fe, Albuquerque, Maine, Florida, NYC, Chicago, San Diego, Monterey, Big Sur, Mendocino, Sedona, Seattle/San Juan and Vancouver Islands, Taos, Philadelphia, Vermont, Moab, Vegas, Ouray, Telluride, Pagosa Springs, Aspen, Steamboat, Crested Butte, Fruita, Winter Park, Indian Peaks, Lake City, National Parks: Rocky Mtn, Arches, Zion, Arcadia, Yellowstone, Grand Tetons, Grand Canyon, Yosemite, Great Sand Dunes, Badlands, Mesa Verde… In lieu of flowers and cards, please volunteer to help someone in need, help build a hiking/biking trail, or donate to a Cancer foundation.
