Dan a Colorado native born in Denver passed away on July 29, 2021 at St Anthony's Hospital. He worked the majority of his adult life at Coors, first as a machinist in the ceramic division in his younger years and later in the tool crib as the attendant in a wire cage. It was in the tool crib he acquired a new nickname and became widely known throughout Coors and the Golden area as "Rat". Dan is survived by his wife Darlene whom he married on August 25, 1973, daughter Christine Tonelli (Tobias), grandson Zachary Lindsey, son Daniel W. (Jesica), granddaughters Taigen and Aidyen Kerr, many nieces, nephews and in-laws. Dan's passing is proceeded by his parents: William and Elizabeth Kerr, his brother: Robert, sisters: Marie McKenna and Donna Sponsor. Dan enjoyed a variety of hobbies. He had a great love for the mountains: camping, fishing, hunting and jeeping. However his greatest enthusiasm and love was building and driving his classic cars and in younger years racing figure eight and stock cars. A Celebration of Life , memorial service will be held on Saturday August 28 at 10 AM at the Aspen Chapel, 1350 Simms Street, Lakewood, Colorado. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to one of the following: Alzheimer's, Cancer or Kerr Memorial Fund
