Joann Mann, a resident of Gaston, South Carolina, passed away at her home on the evening of February 16, 2025. Joann was the daughter of James and Annebelle Martin of Pauley Swamp, South Carolina, who preceded her in death. Joann was from a family of 9 children and was preceded in death by 3 brothers, James, Lynwood, and Billy Joe, and 3 sisters, Betty Fay, Judy, and Nancy. She is survived by one sister, Louise, and one brother, Eddie.

Joann was the loving mother of 5 children, Stephanie Fleanor of Tennessee, Shannon Rodriguez of Ohio, Brain Mann of Washington, Murray Jones, Jr. and Scott Mann both from Columbia. She had 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren all of whom she loved.

She is also survived by her husband, Robert Mann, also from Gaston, who she shared her life and love with for 34 years and were best friends.

Joann was an animal lover who treated her pets as if they were human. She was a dedicated Friend who would give people the shirt off her back. She loved to take care of her flowers and trees in the yard.

The family will receive friends at Thompson Funeral Home located at 4720 Augusta Rd., Lexington, South Carolina 29073 on Monday, February 24th from 5pm to 8pm. A graveside service will be held at the Fort Jackson National Cemetery located at 4170 Percival Rd., Columbia, South Carolina on Tuesday, February 25th at 11:00 am.
