Frank Vincent Lusk, 87, of West Columbia, South Carolina went to be with his Lord on February 18, 2025.
Frank was born on January 27, 1938 in Woodruff, South Carolina and was the son of Frank Lusk and Elizabeth G. Hayes.
Frank graduated from Newberry High school in 1956, and then went on to Columbia Junior College to earn his degree. He then served in the US Air force as a civil engineer and he fought in the Vietnam War, he also played on the US Air Force Baseball Team. He was a dedicated Soldier and truly loved his country with his heart. After retirement from the military, Frank worked at Carolina Eastman in civil engineering, after retiring he went on to work in maintenance at Lexington Medical Center where he was loved by all of his colleagues.
Frank married his loving wife, Delores Lusk on October 4, 1973 and they shared 51 amazing years of marriage together.
Frank loved to play golf, go bowling, fishing but most of all he enjoyed showing up to every one of his grand children's special events, performances, accomplishments or games. He never missed an opportunity to cheer them on. Frank was a devout member of Gantt Street Baptist Church where he attended faithfully for many years.
Remaining to cherish Frank’s memory is his wife, Delores Lusk; His children: Anna Lusk, Kathy Traylor (Wayne), Bryan Schumpert, Sharon Jeffcoat (Calvin); His grandchildren: Ginia Lusk, Jamie Saine (Rodger), Jennifer Ann Harkness (Adam), Jessica Armour (Zachary), Tommy Douglas (Katherine), Erica Kensek (David), Ryan Gaskins, Rusty Gaskins (Jenna), Taylor Humphries (Cody) and Mia Schumpert; His great grandchildren: Erica Daily, Jason Saine, Cheyenne Saine, Liam Saine, Eloise Harkness, Declan Armour, Brittan Armour, Joshua Lusk, Abigail Jennings, Sage Gaskins, Alaina Lynn Gaskins, River Humphries, Chloe Humphries, Noah Gaskins and Chase Gaskins.
Preceding Frank in death are his parents; his son, Frankie Lusk; his sister, Pat Hill; and his brothers, Jack and Fredrick Lusk.
The funeral service will take place at Gantt Street Baptist church on Monday, February 24, 2025 at 12:00pm, prior to the service, a visitation for the family will be held at 11:00am. Burial and Military Respects will be held at Fort Jackson National Cemetery on Tuesday, February 25, at 10:00am.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Frank Lusk may be directed to Gantt Street Baptist Church’s Mission Fund.
