Joseph Ford Bowers Jr. February 20, 1936 - June 28, 2022 Joe was born in Steubenville Ohio and was one of six children. He is survived by his wife Fran, 3 children, 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Joe joined the Air Force in 1953 and after being stationed in several different locations, came to Lowry Air Force base where he met Frances Miller. Joe and Fran were married on March 16th, 1963 and were married for the next 59 wonderful years. After a 20-year career in the Air Force, Joe retired and went into civilian life where he worked for Martin Marietta and the U.S Government. Joe and Fran retired in 1999 and hit the road, traveling the United States and Mexico. When not traveling, they both enjoyed spending as much time as they could with their grandchildren and eventually their great grandchildren. Joe†™s love of family, country and service will always live within us, he will truly be missed.
