Judy Arbuckle 1948 – 2022 Memorial Service ~ Saturday, November 19, 2022, 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM Calvary Baptist Church 17050 South Golden Road Golden, CO 80401 Celebration of Life Saturday, November 19, 2022, 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM Calvary Baptist Church 17050 South Golden Road Golden, CO 80401 Judy Ann (Smith) Arbuckle August 7, 1948 – November 4, 2022 Judy was born in Amity, Oregon, to Merlin and Betty (Marsh) Smith and the only daughter of three children. In 1949-50, the family moved to Colorado, and she spent her childhood in the Daniels Park area until 1962 when the family moved to The City of Lakewood. Judy attended the Faith Baptist Church in Lakewood, and accepted Christ as her savior in her youth and was baptized. Her faith was an important part of her life and was an inspiration to her children, grandchildren, family, and friends. For many years she was a member of the Garden Park Mennonite Brethren Church, Grace Fellowship of Lakewood and of late the Calvary Baptist Church in Golden. Judy met Jim Arbuckle in the spring of 1965, and they married September 14, 1965, in Pocatello, Idaho. In the fall of 1967 to August 1971, they managed apartment houses to save money to purchase a home in Golden where they lived. She graduated from Jefferson County Public Schools in 1976. In 1978, Judy started working at the Colorado School of Mines Alumni Association and completed her career working at the School of Mine Foundation Office as an Administrative Assistant. She was always pleased to have worked at the school for 34 years and to know many excellent people there. She had Type I Diabetes for 52 years and lost the function of her kidneys. She went on dialysis in June 2007, received a gift of a transplant in March 2013 and returned to dialysis in November 2021 when the transplant had finished its life. On November 4, 2022, Judy passed away at home as she wanted, in Jim’s arms, and has been eternally healed and in the presence of Christ our Savior. Judy is greatly missed here on this earth by her husband; son Shawn, wife Angie (Nebeker), their children Thomas James (TJ) and Kathryn (Kit); daughter Lori, husband Jeff Bailey; older brother William (Bill), wife Nancy; younger brother Steven (Steve), wife Hye Sook (Sue); many nieces and nephews; as well as many dear friends.
