Jack M Buthman

Jack Merlyn Buthman the son of William and Merle Vane (Sheley) Buthmann was born January 3, 1933 in Paullina, Iowa. He died on Saturday, May 20, 2023 at Lutheran Hospital in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, at the age of 90. He received his education and graduated from Irwin High School with the class of 1951. He was honored to make 1st team, all county in basketball in 1951 and also played baseball. On July 25, 1957, he was united in marriage to Jan Ann Plumb in Harlan, Iowa. This union was blessed with 2 children; Jay and Jeff. The couple lived in Atlantic Iowa before moving to Lakewood, Colorado in 1962. They purchased a home in Edgewater Colorado in 1966 and resided there for 52 years. He has been preceded in death by his parents, sister, Eva Birks; brothers, Basil, Guy and Donald Survivors include his sons; Jay (Ramona) of Thornton, CO, and Jeff (Shannon) of Arvada, CO.; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
