Frank Edward Walters

Frank E Walters Born: September 5, 1944 Passed: September 21,2023 Frank was born in Columbus OH to Florence Collins and is survived by his beloved wife, Velda M Walters, who he met on a blind date at the Lawrence Welk show in California 59 years ago. They were married a wonderful 58 years. Frank was a loving, devoted and proud father to his 3 daughters, Amy Gallegos, Brenda Pfister, (David) Cherie Werkhoven, (Tim) 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Frank was known for his kindness to anyone in need, he always found a way to give to others even when he didn’t have much. He became a friend to strangers from the cashiers at King Soopers, to the gas attendants or bank tellers, everyone knew him by name. Although Alzheimer’s took his memory we will never forget and always remember him with love for who he was. When Frank was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, he continued to make strangers his family. We are so blessed with the care and love he received from the Allison Care Center. Those who cared for Frank would say “Mr. Frank is so sweet and kind” and “Mr. Frank is the “gentle” in gentleman“ he continued to recognize his Velda with a smile and would tell her “everything’s okay” In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Allison Care Center 1660 Allison St, Lakewood, CO 80214
