Farol Ann Burks

Farol Ann Burks of Evergreen, Colorado, passed away on November 23, 2023 at the age of 82. She was born in Sterling Colorado on November 19, 1941 to Noble Farol Keeler and Marzell Lucille Hicks. Farol was later adopted by Clyde Mitchel. She is preceded in death by her husband, David Edward Burks; son, Scott Edward Burks; son, Christopher Todd Burks; and sister, Claudia Diane Miller. She is survived by daughter, Michelle (Shelly) Diane Mahon, grandchildren, Blake Michael Mahon and Emily Noble Mahon; great grandchildren, Banks Oliver and Brooks Allen Mahon; sister Collette Renee Mitchell; Niece, Wendy Brook Miller, and Nephews Brian Brook Miller, Alexander Page Smith, and Phillip Merle Smith. A funeral service will be offered on Wednesday December 20, 2023, from 11:00am - 12:00pm at Lakewood Nazarene Church located at 1755 Dover St, Lakewood, CO 80215. A reception will follow after at the same location. Her burial will take place at Fort Logan National Cemetery at 2:00pm. Due to their policies, the burial is not open to the public. Farol Ann Burks loved her family and dog, Prince Edward. While she was a quiet person, she had a great sense of humor and loved socializing with close friends and family. She enjoyed cooking, babies, and going to Las Vegas to see Engelbert Humperdink. She was passionate about crocheting and knitting, which earned her purple ribbons at the Colorado State Fair. She spent the majority of her life in Lakewood Colorado, but lived with her daughter, Shelly Mahon and son-in-law Mike Mahon in Evergreen during the last few years of her life.
