Cathy Elaine Harshman

Cathy Elaine Harshman, 69, of Greeley, passed away June 7, 2015, after a lengthy struggle with cancer. Born Cathy Elaine Sell to Harry and Esther Sell on July 28, 1945, in Brush, Colo. She graduated from high school in Fort Morgan, Colo., while living on a farm across the South Platte River from Fort Morgan. Married Ron Harshman from Wiggins, Colo. That marriage produced three sons, Wade, Joel, and Mitchell Harshman, all living in Denver. Cathy was skilled in accounting and did much of it for both family and friends as well as past employers. Her work ethic and dedication was a constant inspiration to those who had the pleasure of her company. She had a talent for remodeling and landscaping and both her home and yard are a testament to those passions. She enthusiastically celebrated life and love unfailingly with her family and friends. As a result of her attention and love of all her family, she will be greatly missed by all. A celebration of her life will be held on a date to be set very soon. She is survived by loving husband, Greg Gerk; son, Wade Harshman, his wife, Julie, granddaughter, Jordan, grandsons, Garrett and Connor; son, Joel Harshman and his wife Cindy; son, Mitchell Harshman, his wife Kathy, granddaughters, Kayla and Kelli; stepdaughter, Tara Lynn Linafelter and granddaughter, Peyton; stepdaughter, Amy Gerk, granddaughters, Alyssa and Addison; brothers, Les Sell and his wife Sharon of Phoenix, Ariz., and Warren Sell and his wife Karen of Greeley. Cathy was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Esther Sell of Greeley.
