Shirley Jean Williams 88, of Charlotte NC. died on February 19,2025.

 

Shirley was born in Anson County, NC, October 23,1936 to the late Reverend William Johnson and Mother Cora Parker Johnson.

 

Shirley was a nannie and she ran a small daycare inside her home. She loved being a nannie & loved her family. She was also an active member of Derita Baptist Church. 

 

ln addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her Husband Grady William, Sr., Son Grady Williams Jr., Daughters Cynthia Bryant, Kathie Turner, Sisters, Mildred Maree, Glennie Kelly, Rachel Eddins, Brothers Brady Johnson, Johnny Johnson, William B Johnson, Grady Johnson, Arthur Johnson, Limon Johnson.  

 

Survivors include her sister Rochelle Williams, sister-in-law Pat McGuirt, and brother-in-law James Harley Williams Jr. grandchildren Stephanie Hill, Danny Packett Jr., Michelle Bryant (Ben), Star Turner; great grandchildren Jonathan & Justin Bryant, and Jasmine & Autumn Packett.

 

A visitation will be held on Sunday February 23, 2025, at 2pm at Hankins and Whittington Funeral Service 1111 East Blvd. Charlotte NC 28203. The celebration of life service will follow at 3pm.

 

Committal services will take place 10am Monday, February 24, 2025, at Sunset Memory Gardens, 8901 Lawyers Rd, Mint Hill, NC 28227.
