In Loving Memory of Thomas Anthony Tolley Sr.

Thomas Anthony Tolley, Sr., born at home on October 26, 1935, in Franklin, Ohio, to Thomas and Esther Tolley. He passed away peacefully on February 9, 2025, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Tucson, Arizona.

After moving from Ohio to Arizona with his family, Thomas graduated from Tucson High School in 1955 and went on to serve his country with distinction in the United States Marine Corps as a Military Policeman. He was honorably discharged from Camp Pendleton in 1961 and later that same year, he married the love of his life, Rozella, at St. John’s Catholic Church, marking the beginning of a beautiful journey together.

Thomas is survived by his devoted wife of sixty-three years Rozella, his cherished sister Annette Hansen, and his loving children Jacquelin (Ernest) Salas, Julie (Brian) Gruzinski, Thomas Edward (Leigh) Tolley, Allicia Tolley, and Christopher Tolley, Sr. His legacy lives on through his grandchildren Yvianna (Francisco) Arenas, Joseph (Kim) Salas, Destiny Tolley, Christopher Tolley, Jr., and his great-grandchildren Annalina Arenas, Annycia Arenas, Blaine Salas, Connor Salas, and Arianna Arenas, who will all remember him with fondness and love.

Thomas was preceded in death by his children Jody and Thomas Anthony Tolley, Jr., and his siblings and in-laws Betty (Bill) Bussell, June (Charlie) Lawson, Marilyn Faye (Louie) Wiegand, Janet (Virgil) McCray, Samuel Tolley, Alfred (Eileen) Tolley, Mary Jane (Jerry) Moore, Rudy Hansen, and Theresa (Clayton) Pfisthner.

Thomas Tolley, Sr. will be remembered for his service to his country, his dedication to his family, and the love and kindness he extended to all who knew him. May he rest in peace. Semper Fi! 

 

Thomas’ Committal Ceremony will be held on

Arizona Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery
