Nancy Leonard Newnam, 89, was welcomed to her eternal home by her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on on February 20, 2025.  Nancy was born in Greensboro, North Carolina on March 3, 1935 to the late Charles and Pauline Leonard.

She graduated from Rankin High School and attended King Business School. She went to work for Vick Chemical Company where she met her husband, Larry, and they were married for 68- years. She was a member of Calvary Church where she enjoyed working with the Shut-in and hospital ministries with Larry. Nancy lived for her family and loved each one deeply.

Nancy is survived by her loving husband, Larry Newnam; her children, Debra Thompson (Johnny) of Greensboro, Kim Jefferson (Ronnie) of Supply, Freddy Newnam (Robin) of Brown Summit, and Charles Newnam (Lisa) of Gibsonville; her ten grandchildren; her twelve great-grandchildren; and a devoted niece, Annette Leonard Young of Matthews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Charles (Eddy) Leonard and Larry Leonard.  

Funeral services celebrating Nancy's life will begin at 12:00PM on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 with Pastor Phillip Jefferson officiating at Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Service- Lambeth Chapel, 300 W Wendover Ave, Greensboro, NC 27401.  Interment will be at Lakeview Memorial Park, Greensboro.
