In Loving Memory

Mrs. Virginia "Nanny" Frances Queen, 85, of Kernersville passed away on February 21, 2025 at her home.  Born in Mt. Airy, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Hugh and Elizabeth (Craddock) Coalson and wife of Glenn Queen.

 

Nanny had a heart of gold. She was always willing to give to others and lend a helping hand to those in need. She was very strong in her faith and knew Jesus as her Lord and Savior. She loved her family and will be deeply missed.

 

Virginia is survived by her loving husband, Glenn Wesley Queen; her children, Cheryl Queen (Sammy), Teresa Queen, Rodney Queen (Michele); her grandchildren, Philip Allred III, Rickey Leigh Lawson (Kaitlyn), Jason Lawson, Presley Shumate (Justin), Pierce Queen (Cate); her eight great-grandchildren; and her six great-great-grandchildren.

 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Karen Allred; and her brothers and sisters.

 

The family will receive friends at Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Home - Kernersville Chapel, 213 W. Mountain St., Kernersville NC 27284 on Tuesday, February 25th, 2025 from 6:00PM  -  8:00PM.  A graveside funeral service will be held at Gardens of Memory - Walkertown, 5676 Old Walkertown Rd, Walkertown, NC 27051 on Wednesday, February 26th, 2025 at 2:00PM with Pastor Rob Decker officiating.  

 

Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Samaritan's Purse, Asheville NC.
