Letha Parsons Howard, age 92, passed away on February 22, 2025. She was born on March 15, 1932 in Hemingway, SC to Estelle Fulton Parsons and Steven Ernest Parsons, Sr.

She is predeceased by her parents; her husband, Rev. Oliver Howard, a former pastor of City of Hope, West Columbia, SC; son, Stephen Howard; sisters, Jeanette Owens and Mary Sue Altman; brother, Steven Ernest Parsons, Jr.; and son-in-law, Robert Upton.

She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Upton; grandson, Travis Upton (Shannon); granddaughter, Stephanie Howard; three great grandchildren, Spencer, Karly, and Oliver Upton; and daughter-in-law, Sandra Howard.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 from 12pm – 12:30pm at Thompson Funeral Home in Lexington, SC, with funeral service to follow in the chapel. And will be immediately entombed at the Elwood Cemetery Mausoleum in Columbia, SC at 2pm.
