Mildred A. Tomasi

Mildred A. (Lemke) Tomasi, born on April 22, 1932, in Holyoke, Massachusetts, passed away on February 22, 2025, at Quaboag Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center in W. Brookfield, Massachusetts. She was 92 years old. Mildred was the daughter of the late Walter and Atta (Pittroff) Lemke and the beloved wife of the late Biagio J. Tomasi, with whom she shared years of happiness. She was a lifelong resident of South Hadley whose family has deep roots in the community.
Throughout her life, Mildred was a vibrant figure known for her spirited love of music. In her younger days, she was fond of driving her MG car, favoring the thrill of speed. Her musical talents were numerous; she was adept and loved playing the Spanish guitar, mandolin, banjo, Hawaiian guitar, and electric guitar. Mildred shared her talents with her community by performing in a local band, the Pizzitola Strummers.
Beyond her musical pursuits, Mildred enjoyed ballroom dancing at the Roseland in Holyoke, Massachusetts. She also delighted in fishing and traveling with her husband, and her green thumb was evident in the beautiful flower gardens she cultivated. Mildred also loved to entertain her family and friends at her home. Mildred had many bichon frise and poodles over the years and loved them all dearly.
Professionally, Mildred was a respected purchasing agent for Spaulding Corporation, a position she held with dedication and love. Her earlier career was at ACME Chain in accounts payable for many years. She was also a member of the West Chicopee Congregation of Jehovah Witness.
Mildred is survived by her cousins Janice Roberts and her husband Marc, Sheila Belovarich and her husband Matthew, Rachael and Rebecca Roberts, and seven nephews, Robert McAnulty, William Dolliver, Thomas Dolliver, Joseph Dolliver, Phillip Dolliver, Stephen Dolliver and Richard Dolliver and four nieces Charlene (Gossett) Peterson, Ellen Doerle, Nancy Booth and Valerie (McAnulty). She also leaves many dear friends. She was predeceased by her cousins William and John Wroe and a nephew Jay McAnulty.
A private service will be held at Notre Dame Cemetery in South Hadley, Massachusetts, adhering to the family's wishes.
