Reshmo Kaur Rai, was born August 28, 1939, in Mathfallu, Punjab, India.
Reshmo lived in Yuba City, CA, for over 40 years, enjoying her years traveling and spending time raising grandchildren.
She loved gardening, cooking, and making sure everyone was always happy.
She passed away in Yuba City, CA, on February 16, 2025. Her married life resided in Boparai, Goraya until 1984, and was retired.
Survivors include her sons, Amarjit Singh Rai and Resham Kaur Rai, Yuba City, CA, Jasbir Singh Rai and Harvinder Kaur Rai, Yuba City, CA, Narinder Singh Rai and Opinder Kaur Rai Roseville, CA; daughters, Ranjit Kaur Gill and late Jugdev Singh Gill Madera, CA; grandchildren, Mandeep and Kiran Gill, Sunny and Aman Gill, Rajan Singh Rai and Ruhi Rai, Raveen Rai, Harman Rai, Priya Rai, Arun Rai; and great grandchildren Mila and Gurnaz Gill.
She was preceded in death by her late husband, Sohan Singh Rai, an Asian Olympic Medalist.
Services will be conducted on Sunday, February 23, 2025, at 11 AM, at Ullrey Memorial Chapel Crematory. BHOG Service will follow at 2269 Bogue Road Sikh Temple, Yuba City, CA. Arrangements are under the discretion of Ullrey Memorial Chapel.
