Octavio Ramirez
October 20th, 1944 - February 17th, 2025
Octavio Ramirez(Tubby)passed away peacefully on February 17, 2025.
He was born on October 20, 1944 in Tucson Arizona.
Octavio is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Ramona, daughters Maricela Olea (Gabriel) and Ana Pallares (Marco), Grandchildren Jayson, Antonio, Mia, and Erik. Sisters Theresa and Olivia, brother Omar, and extended family. Preceded in death by his precious grandson Ryan Olea, brothers Oscar and Orlando, and sister Margot.
Octavio’s career began as a heavy equipment operator. Octavio eventually decided that line of work wasn’t for him and pursued a plumbing trade as a steady job. He was determined to be self-employed and first started out with a partner, Roadrunner Plumbing. He then became sole proprietor of Ramirez Plumbing. His ultimate goal for his career in life was to be a custom home builder. He partnered with his brother-in-law Carlos Loreto and they created Alegre Builders Luxury Custom Homes. Together they built a successful partnership building multi-million dollar homes all over Tucson in some very challenging areas.
He retired at the age of 62 and he enjoyed retirement to the fullest, but if you ask him what his favorite part was, he would say taking care of his grandchildren! He enjoyed every minute with them. He never missed a game, recital, or performance that his grandchildren were a part of. His greatest accomplishment by far was his and Ramona’s family - their daughters and grandchildren.
We would like to thank the Physio Shop for all of love and support during this time and for the wonderful care they gave our husband, dad and Tata.
