In Loving Memory

Mr. Fred Dziki, 95, of Kernersville, NC passed away on February 17th, 2025 peacefully in his home after 95 years of a wonderful life. 

 

He was born in Brooklyn, CT and was the son of the late Micheal Dziki & Anna (Rejman) Dziki and husband to the late Rose (Merkle) Dziki, who preceded him in death in 1965, 1994, and 2016 respectively.

 

He graduated from Killingly High School in 1948 and was active in basketball, baseball, track and was the president of his class. Fred joined the U.S. Navy after graduation and served as an electronic technician on the U.S. Gilmore submarine tender. His productive years were spent in the electrical industry; first as an electrician, then as a contractor, and finally as an electrical inspector for the City of New Smyrna Beach, FL. He later retired to Kernersville, NC in 1995. He was an avid golfer for a number of years and belonged to the Pine Knolls Men’s Golf Association. His hobbies included woodworking, cooking, and family.

 

Fred is survived by his children, Stan (Kris) Dziki, Teri (Larry) Zimmer-Alls, and Steve Dziki; his grandchildren, Jennifer (Scott) Bogoski, Kurtis (Becky) Dziki, Josh Rotta (Linda Vasilko), Rachael (Trey) Ragsdale, Micheal (Brenda) Zimmer, Dan (Andrea) Zimmer, Katherine Zimmer (Trevor Shoemaker); and his great-grandchildren, Hanna, Tammie, Sarah, Alexa, Emily, Basil, Kaylee, Charlee, Rosie, Sofie, Wyatt, Ty, Levi, Gareth, Savannah, and Delilah. 

 

The family will receive friends at Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Home, 213 W. Mountain St., Kernersville NC 27284 on Friday, February 28th, 2025 from 5:00PM-7:00PM. A funeral mass will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Church with Father Noah Carter officiating on Saturday, March 1st, 2025 from 1:00PM-2:00PM.

 

In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial contributions to the American Legion Auxiliary Foundation in Fred's honor.
