Anna May Scheftic, 91, of Fabius, NY passed away Sunday, February 23, 2025 with family members by her side.  She is predeceased by her husband, Paul Scheftic of 44 years; father, Julian Briggman; mother, Eleanor J. Haffey; and sisters, Joan Cushing of Bronx, NY and Eleanor Theresa Sherman of Solvay, NY.

 

Anne was a strong loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Up until the time of her passing she was cooking, canning, and enjoying nights out at the casino. She was member of the choir, an avid reader, skillful knitter, and puzzler.  Her Catholic faith was evident in her strong prayer life and devotions.

 

Survivors: Martha (Marshall) Urion of Billings, MT, Kathleen (Vincent) DeLucia of Myrtle Beach, SC, Christopher (Carol) Scheftic of Dryden, NY, David (Lisa) Scheftic of Sayre, PA, Sherrie Scheftic of Rochester, NY, Paula Scheftic of Brentwood, TN, Daniel Scheftic of Fabius, NY, Marguerite Wagner of Fabius, NY, Paul (Nicki) Scheftic of Minoa, NY, 23 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; brothers, Mark (Frances) Briggman of Folsom, CA, John (Rita) Briggman of Memphis, NY; sister, Charlotte DaVia of Rochester, NY, and Arthur DaVia of Rochester, NY; Best Friend: Patricia Oddey of Glens Falls, NY; and several nieces, nephews and greats.

 

Calling Hours will be  Sunday March 2, 2025 from 1-4PM.  Mass of Christian burial Monday, March 3, 2025, 10:00AM at Immaculate Conception Church, 7386 Academy Street, Pompey, NY 13138

 

Contributions in Anna's memory may be made to the Fabius Fire Department, PO Box 27, Fabius, NY 13063 or Immaculate Conception Church.
