Reta was a caregiver at heart. She worked as a candy striper and a CNA before she had children. She then spent many years caring for her family while she raised her children. She worked in the C.O.S.S.A lunchroom as their cook, where she discovered her love of working with people with disabilities. After she left C.O.S.S.A she would continue that important work but shifted to adults at the WITCO developmental center. Where her love for the people she cared for was very apparent. She touched many lives of clients, their families and her co-workers. After her retirement, she couldn’t give up the passion she had discovered and continued to work as a respite care worker for several families.

Her legacy will live on through the memories we shared, the values instilled in us, and the love she gave. We take solace in knowing that she is now at peace, reunited with loved ones who have passed before her.
