Cletus "Earl" Tucker
January 4th, 1925 - February 25th, 2025
In Loving Memory
Mr. Cletus "Earl" Tucker, 100, of Greensboro passed away peacefully on February 25, 2025 at his home with Vickie and Tony by his side. Born in Guilford County, North Carolina, he was the son of the late Charlie and Ida (Ballard) Tucker and husband of the late Phyllis Pegg Tucker (2018) after 68 years of marriage.
He served in World War II as a member of the U.S. Navy. He loved ice cream, UNC Tarheels basketball, Atlanta Braves baseball, and jigsaw puzzles. He was a long-time member of Mt. Pisgah Church, Greensboro for over 48 years. He had recently celebrated his 100th birthday.
Earl is survived by his daughter, Vickie Tucker and her fiancé, Tony Southern and his son, Ronnie Tucker.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his infant son, Cletus Harmon Tucker; and his seven siblings.
Per Earl's request, there will be no services held at this time.
