Margaret Helen Gray

Mrs. Margaret Helen Gray, age 89, a resident of Auburndale, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 24, 2025, surrounded by her devoted family. Mrs. Gray was born June 2, 1935, in Dothan, Alabama to Alphy Hubert and Merlein (Green) Brooks. She was a resident of Polk County for over 70 years and graduated from Auburndale Adult School in 1972. She was a member of Lena Vista Baptist Church in Auburndale, member of the Ladies Faithful Workers Sunday School Class and sang in the choir. Margaret enjoyed reading, word search puzzles, reunions and loved spending time with family. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband – JT Gray and granddaughter – Trina Marie Ray. Margaret is survived by her loving family, 3 daughters – Helen Doss, Jeanne (Bobby Coburn) Ashenfelter & Patricia (Paul) Osborne; 3 brothers – John Thomas (Jeanette) Brooks, Thomas Lee (Pat) Brooks & Ronald Hubert Brooks; 5 grandchildren – Kerri (Calvin), Kristen, Lauren, Jordan (Tommy) & Jonathan; 12 great grandchildren - Jason, Dylan,  Tyler, Heather, Bobby, Jacob, Case, Jaelynn, Addyson, Jaxson, Isaak, Olivia; 7 great great grandchildren - Skylar, Alexis, Lilyana, Benjamin, Robert, Katelyn & Raelynn. Funeral services will be 12pm Thursday, March 6th at Lena Vista Baptist Church, 213 Florida Drive, Auburndale. Visitation before service from 11am-12pm at the church. Interment will follow at Auburndale Memorial Park.
