David Clifford Thomas, 63, of Eastover, South Carolina passed unexpectedly on December 1, 2024.

David was a loving man with a heart as big as they come. He had a unique ability to bring smiles and groans at the same time, always keeping those around him entertained. Above all, he cherished his family deeply.

David was a proud graduate of Anson Senior High School, Class of 1979.  Following graduation, he served honorably in the US Army for thirteen years as an Abrams Tank turret troubleshooter. His passions included hunting, fishing, playing cards, and anything related to metal. Machining was his trade, and he spent 28 years working at Coffing Hoist.

In addition to his career, David was dedicated to serving his community as a volunteer firefighter with the Lilesville Volunteer Fire Department. He was an active member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church in North Carolina before becoming a member of Lebanon Methodist Church in Eastover, South Carolina.

David is survived by his loving partner, Margaret and his stepdaughter, Amanda. He is also survived by his sister, Cindy Green. He was preceded in death by his parents, Nancy T and Everette Clifford Thomas, and brother, Edward Marshall Thomas.

A celebration of life is to be announced in the spring of 2025.
