In Loving Memory of Perry Jay Bertsch
Perry Jay Bertsch, age 64, passed away on February 25, 2025, in an ice fishing accident in Aurora, CO. Born on January 25, 1961, in Huron, SD, Perry relocated to Aurora, Colorado in 1980 where he made a home for the remainder of his life.
Perry was the dedicated owner and operator of a local sanitation company for over 25 years, a role that highlighted his hardworking and generous nature. His commitment to his work was paralleled by his dedication to his family and the people in his life. Perry's work ethic was truly remarkable; he never missed a single day throughout his decades of dedication to the company.
Known for his friendly and outgoing personality, Perry was a friend to everyone he met. He had a profound love for the outdoors, which was evident in his enthusiasm for hunting, fishing, gardening, and golf. These activities not only brought joy to Perry but also allowed him to connect with others who shared his passions.
Perry is survived by his siblings, Dean Bertsch, (Debbie) Vickie Bertsch Leibel, (Kent) and Robbie Bertsch; nephews, Nate Bertsch, Mathew Bertsch, Garret Leibel, Reed Leibel, and Charles Leibel and former life partner Barb Bahl. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Thelma Bertsch and sister-in-law Sheri Bertsch.
