Elaine Marie Wilcox

Elaine Marie Wilcox passed away suddenly at her home in Canby on February 12, 2025. She was born on November 11, 1940, to Raymond and Carribelle Everett.  She attended Borah High School in Boise, and met her husband, Charles, at Boise Junior College after he returned from the Navy.  They married on June 29, 1963. 

Elaine continued her studies, earning a Bachelor’s degree.  She spent many years teaching Home Economics in high school, then substitute teaching in Estacada and Lakeview.   

Elaine enjoyed quilting, sewing, jewelry making, stamping, and making cards for everyone’s special days.  She also snuck off to Spirit Mountain to play the slots whenever she could! She and Charlie enjoyed sightseeing and travelled to many European destinations.   

Elaine is survived by her daughters Julie and husband Robert Krull, Lisa and husband Chris Parkinson, her grandchildren Jeremy Parkinson and Kayla and husband Simon Huff, as well as her brothers Francis and his wife Bobbie Everett, Ken and his wife Glenda Everett, brother-in-law Wesley and his wife Barbara Wilcox, as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. 

A memorial service will be held at the Canby Funeral Chapel, 160 S. Grant Street, on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at 10:00 am, with a reception to follow at the same location.  She will be laid to rest at the Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, Oregon.
