Sue Peoski
February 17th, 1951 - February 25th, 2025
Sue Peoski, beloved wife, mother, nana and sister, passed away on February 25, 2025 at Baptist Health Lexington, leaving a massive void her family cannot fill.
She was born in Lexington, KY in 1951 at Saint Joseph Hospital to Ada Mae Bowles and Phil Carroll. Sue graduated from Lafayette High School in 1969 and worked for several years as a CSR in the insurance industry.
Sue was a devoted wife to James (Jim) Peoski, mother to Christy Johnson (Lexington), and very proud nana to AJ Johnson (Lexington), Parker Peoski (Altamonte Springs, FL), Joseph (Brittaney) Peoski, (Brandon, FL), and Karolyn (Andreas) Reed (Stockton, CA), and several great grandchildren, each and every one her pride and joy. She always said her grandchildren changed her life for the better, and they felt that in the love and support she provided. Sue was also survived by her siblings Shelly Stanley (Georgetown), and Mark (Christina) Stanley (Nicholasville), stepson Mark (Susan) Peoski (Alamonte Springs, FL) and many other extended family members.
Sue took special joy in riding and traveling on Harley Davidson motorcycles with her late husband, Jim, and their Harley Owners Group, crafting of all types, and had fond memories of her crafting club meetings at the Lexington Public Library and conventions.
Sue was preceded in death by her husband, James (Jim) Peoski, her parents and step-father Richard Stanley.
A date and time of a Celebration of Life will be scheduled later.
In lieu of flowers, donations to The Trevor Project, Lexington Humane Society or The American Heart Association in her name are appreciated.
