Preston Paul Poteete

It is with sadness we announce that Preston Paul Poteete passed away on February 22, 2025 at the age of 62.
He was born on April 15, 1962 in Killeen, Texas.
A United States Air Force veteran, he was a crash firefighter stationed at Hahn Air Force base in Germany. His service spanned from 1982 to 1988. In 1989, he went to work with the state of Oklahoma as a surveyor. He had two daughters: Cyndi, born in 1983 and Brittnay, born in 1989. In 1995, he moved to Arizona and ran a construction company.
He is survived by daughters Cyndi Hunter (Tyson Painter) and Brittnay Reyes (Ace Anaya), mother Rosetta Dolly, grandchildren Ariel Hunter (Jake Rains), Eli Poteete, Aja Reyes and Gianna Reyes, great-grandson Maverick Rains, Aunt Ruby, numerous cousins, and very close brotherly friends Justin Sayrne and Richard (Monica) Romero.
His is preceded in death by father Jack Everett Poteete, brother Jackie Dale Poteete and numerous Aunts and Uncles.
Preston was full of life, loved to travel and be with friends and family. He loved with his whole heart and was always there to lend a helping hand. A consummate jokester, there was never a dull moment when he was around. He will be missed by those who loved him.
