Judith Ann Wolfe Lawson
1945 - 2025
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
Judith "Judy" Ann Wolfe Lawson October 5, 1945 – February 27, 2025
Judith "Judy" Ann Wolfe Lawson (79), went to be with Jesus surrounded by her family on Thursday, February 27th. Born on October 5, 1945, Judy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend whose kindness and warmth touched all who knew her.
Judy loved the Lord and her family above all else and she was a pillar of love and strength to those who knew her. She found great joy in gardening, tending to her beautiful flowers, and maintaining a warm and welcoming home. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her family, as she was a faithful member of Liberty Hill Evangelical Methodist Church. Her gentle spirit, generous heart, and unwavering dedication to those she loved will be deeply missed.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Nathan Dock Wolfe and Myrtle Sue Greear Wolfe; and her brothers, Kenneth, Johnny, and Jim Wolfe. Judy is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Victor Ray Lawson; her cherished children, son, Nathan (Stacey) Lawson, and stepdaughters, Vickie (Randell) Sloan, and Valdenia (Steve) Payne. She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Madelyn and Benjamin Lawson, Kirsten Williams, Ashley Bowen, and Zoe Payne, and a great-grandmother to Naomi, Kassie, and Emaree. She also leaves behind her sister-in-law, Bobbie Wolfe, nephews, Jason, Mark, and Neil Wolfe, and niece, Angela Leigh.
The Lawson family wishes to thank her hospice caregivers, Amie, Courtney, Christine, and Angie for such wonderful care over the last several months.
A graveside service to honor Judy’s life will be held at Holston View Cemetery on Sunday, March 2, 2025, at 2:00 pm with Pastor Jon Rogers officiating. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery at 1:50 pm.
Carter-Trent Funeral Home Church Hill is serving the Lawson family.
