It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Ginger Lynn Japhet on January 7th, 2025, in Olympia, Washington. Born on June 5th, 1953, in Seattle, Washington, Ginger spent her vibrant life deeply embedded in the heart of the Summit Lake community.

 

Ginger was the beloved wife of the late James Frederick Japhet, with whom she shared a beautiful life after they were married in Olympia, Washington, on August 15, 1970. Together, they nurtured their family deeply rooted in love and community spirit.

 

Preceded in death by her beloved husband James Japhet devoted parents, Edwin and Dorothy Fessenden, her mother-in-law Grace Japhet. and cherished sisters, Sharon Stockmoe and Jeanette Kuykendall, nephew, James Stockmoe, Ginger's legacy is carried forward by her devoted children: sons Dennis Japhet with his wife Dana, and daughter Teresa McCutcheon with her husband Chuck. Her nurturing spirit continues through the lives of her seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, each a testament to her enduring love and wisdom.

 

A woman of diverse talents, Ginger was dedicated to her community through her management role at Summit Lake Grocery and as the proud owner of JJ's Quick Stop in Black Lake. as well as worked at Steamboat Island fuel many years for her dear friend Heidi. Her commitment to her work reflected her boundless energy and dedication to supporting her neighbors.

 

Beyond her professional endeavors, Ginger's passions extended to sewing and tending to her flower beds, where she found solace and joy. Her greatest joy, however, was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, sharing in their lives with boundless enthusiasm and love.

 

In honoring Ginger's memory, her family is grateful for the shared stories and memories that reflect her enduring influence and vibrant character. The family will hold a celebration of life at the family home this summer, they kindly ask that condolences and messages of remembrance be shared in a manner befitting Ginger's gracious legacy.

 

Ginger Lynn Japhet's life was a testament to love, resilience, and the joyful pursuit of life's simple pleasures. Her memory will forever remain cherished in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her.
