Doris M. Halcom was born July 29, 1931, and passed away on February 20, 2025. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ross and Agnes Miller; her first husband, Lewis Ellis; one sister, Betty Gish; two brothers, Dale and Emory Miller; two grandchildren, Jeramiah Ellis and Dusty Dodge; and one great grandchild, Tristen Dodge. She is survived by her husband, Don Halcom; sisters: Roberta Stacy, Dorthy Tucker, and Shirley Hall; sisters-in-law: Peggy Miller, Vella Hanson, Mildren Doun, and Illa Pizzuto. 

She has four children: Stan (Vicky) Ellis, Lois (Brad) Pack, Martha Funk, and Stephen (Tryina) Ellis; three stepchildren: Merle, Melvin, and Richell Halcom; 18 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; one great, great grandchild; and extended family. 

She was loved and will be missed by all who knew her. She loved baking her famous cinnamon rolls and quilting blankets for family and friends. 

The viewing for family will be from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at Flahiff Funeral Chapel, 624 Cleveland Blvd. in Caldwell. We will have a graveside service on Friday, March 7, 2025, at 10:00 am at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery, 10100 Horseshoe Bend Road in Boise. The funeral and celebration of life will be on Friday, March 7, 2025, from 12:00 to 4:00 pm at Valley Church, 2900 Life Way in Caldwell. Services are under the direction of Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell. (208) 459-0833
