Kathy J. (Bowery) Grubb
January 27th, 1956 - February 23rd, 2025

Kathy J. (Bowery) Grubb 69, of Blountville went to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 23, 2025. She was born in Kingsport to the late Hobert and Ruth Bowery.
Kathy was a devoted member of New Life Freewill Baptist Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir. She taught Sunday School for many years from nursery to primary class. Kathy was known for her dedication to God as well as spreading the Gospel to anyone she met. She worked as a phlebotomist at Indian Path Medical Center for over 17 years as well as a medical assistant for many local medical offices. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Mike Bowery; grandson, Andrew Jennings.
Survivors include her loving husband of 54 years, David Grubb; son, Brian Grubb and wife Jennifer; daughter, Amy Finch and husband Matthew; grandchildren, David, Mia, Jacob, Samantha, Brianna, Isabella, and Noah; great-grandchildren; Justice, Nolan, Carson, Wyatt, Brynleigh, Gabriel, Ezekiel, Ezra, Reuben, and Gideon; sisters, Joyce Long and husband Alan, Brenda Calhoun and husband Hal; along with a host of friends and extended family.
The family will receive friends from 5 pm to 7 pm on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at New Life Freewill Baptist Church at 2444 Rock Springs Rd. A funeral service will follow with Pastor Hal Calhoun, Pastor Harold Morelock, and Pastor David Grubb officiating.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1 pm on Wednesday, March 5, 2025 at Hamlett Dobson Memorial Park formerly known as Tri-Cities Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Noah Grubb, Jacob Grubb, Jason Bowery, Seth Stanley, Travis Jennings, and Daniel McMurray. Matthew Finch will serve as an honorary pallbearer. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 12:50 pm.
