Marvin "Dan" Daniel Lance

Marvin Daniel (Dan) Lance was born March 9th, 1947, and passed away unexpectedly January 30th 2025 at his home in Seminole, Florida. Dan was a Vietnam veteran, devoted husband, loving father and doting grandfather.

Dan is preceded in death by his parents, Willis and Essie Lance and 4 sisters Laura, Rhetta, Barbara and JoAnn. Dan is survived by his wife of 53 years of marriage-Linda, their 3 children and their spouses, Matt Lance (Alicia), Doug Lance (Melissa) & Connie Bauer (Rob) along with 7 grandchildren and his sister Luice Patterson.

Dan was the only boy of 6 children, at the age of 18, Dan was drafted into the Army and deployed to Vietnam from 1966-1969. He served his country with pride. Upon his return he met the love of his life. He had a love of sports that he passed down to his children.  Dan, a welder by trade, worked for Irwin Yachtand Marine from 1969- 1992 and was a master craftsman until he retired.  Dan’s love for his 7 grandchildren was larger than life. Dan’s lasting memory will carry on in all who knew him forever. He will be greatly missed.

A memorial service will be held Friday March 28th at 2:30pm at Bay Pines National Cemetery. All are welcome. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Vietnam Veterans of America. www.vva.org
