Cindy Huff

Cindy D. Huff, 66, passed away in Houston surrounded by family on August 21, 2022.

She was preceded on her path by parents Doris L. Mitchell and George P. Mitchell. She is survived by her husband, Paul Huff; sons Clay Huff (Jennifer), Fred Huff (Stacy), Nicolas Huff (Crystal); 10 grandchildren; brothers, George A. Mitchell, and Michael Mitchell; and sister, Lesa Dietz.  Cindy was born October 20, 1955 in Dumas, Texas. When she was 7 her parents moved to Beaumont, Texas where she eventually met her husband Paul while attending Lamar University. Her favorite hobby was spending time with her grandchildren. Cindy enjoyed playing games including bridge, dominos, craps, and more. She also liked renovating houses and scouting for real estate. Cindy loved the art of negotiating, something she learned from her father early on. She was always the one to take with you to purchase or sell something. Above all she loved, adored, and lived for her family, especially her grandchildren.

Cindy was a breast cancer survivor for over 13 years. She was passionate about driving increased awareness and supporting further research and development in this space, particularly for metastatic breast cancer. 

Additionally, Ronald McDonald house provided accommodation for the family when Cindy’s grandchildren were in the hospital and would be grateful for an opportunity to give back to this wonderful organization.
