Peacefully at Trillium Villa Nursing Home in the presence of family, Leo died in his 93rd year on Tuesday February 14, 2023. Former husband of the late Therese (Coache) (2016), and of Barbara (Ludwig) (Bular). Dear father of Leopold (Leo) Lindinger Jr. (Patricia Sullivan), Michael Lindinger, Helene Nissle (Richard Quesnel), Marlene Belanger (Richard), and the late Suzanne Lindinger (1996). Grandfather of Karla Nissle, Evan Lindinger, Miles Belanger, Eva Salehi (Lindinger), Eric Belanger, Wes Lindinger, Reese Belanger and great-grandfather of five. Leo was step-father to Barbara's two sons, Robb Ludwig (Lisa) and was grandfather to his children Roman and Uma, and Jon Ludwig, of the USA. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, and their families in Austria and the USA. Pre-deceased by his parents, Leopold Lindinger and Maria Oberacher, his sister Maria (Mitzl) Neubauer (Franz) and brother Franz of Austria.

Leo was born in Haibach, Austria on April 1, 1930 and immigrated to Canada in 1952. In 1960 he was granted Canadian citizenship. He married and worked in Montreal until he was hired by DuPont, Canada. He was then transferred to DuPont, Corunna and moved his family to Sarnia, Ontario. He worked as a piping draftsman for over 36 years with DuPont and upon retirement, continued to work free-lance with KelGor. Leo was an avid gardener and enjoyed growing his own vegetables, grapes, and fruit, and making his own wine and cider. Leo enjoyed travelling, camping, spending time with family and friends, and was a special friend to animals. He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by those who loved and cared for him.

Cremation has taken place. A mass for Leopold Lindinger will be held at St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church, 1930 Wildwood Drive, Bright's Grove, Ontario, on Monday February 27, 2023 at 6:30pm. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society. Heartfelt thanks to all staff of Trillium Villa Nursing Home for their exceptional care of Leo.
