Patricia Ann Landers
July 23rd, 1941 - February 10th, 2023
Patricia Ann Landers, 81, of Menifee, California died on February 10, 2023, due to medical complications linked to heart failure. She was a very loving mother and a woman who worked very hard to provide for her family while always encouraging everyone she met to learn, grow and be humble by treating others with respect and dignity. She was generous and forgiving of others’ faults or misgivings. She had a heartwarming smile and was always willing to offer her wisdom to those willing to listen. Patricia was born in the city of Los Angeles and lived most of her life in the County of Los Angeles. Growing up, her parents taught her the importance of family values, which she passed on to her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She was always willing to share her knowledge with others to help them learn, grow and reach their life goals. Her jobs included, the restaurant business, where she worked as a hostess, waitress and short-order cook, the automotive industry where she worked as an auto-parts secretary and an automotive parts store manager.
In Patricia’s youth, her hobbies included playing tennis, listening to music, reading, sewing, cooking, playing billiards, tinkering around, and working on old cars in need of minor repairs. She also enjoyed classic movies and local travel, which included visiting family members and friends living in different cities. When Patricia was in high school, she was selected to be an extra in the classic (1957) movie, “Something of Value,” starring Sidney Poitier and Rock Hudson. She always enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and taking short sightseeing tours around the cities she lived in. So when her mother asked if she wanted to continue acting in movies, she chose to focus on starting a family. Patricia was a strong endearing woman, a great mother and a wonderful person who will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
Moreover, she will be greatly missed by her adult children, to include her son, Steven Landers and his wife, April, her daughter, Saundra Landers; her grandchildren, Amber Landers-Tekle and her husband Eyob, Crystal Landers, Avery Landers, Antoine Landers, Deshawn Landers, Dreem Land-Thomas, Nicholas Rodriguez-Landers; and her ten great grandchildren. Patricia is also survived by her three brothers; Julius Dandridge, Theodore Dandridge, Lemuel Bledsoe and a host of nieces, nephews and very dear friends. She is preceded in death by her husband; Fred Henry Landers, her son, Michael Landers, her father, Julius Edwin Dandridge, her mother, Cora Allison Dandridge-Bledsoe, her brother, James Dandridge, and three sisters; Cora Sue Reed, Joyce Harrel and Ruby Gardner.
Her family would like to thank the medical staff who cared for her in her final months and also extend the deepest appreciation, and heartfelt gratitude to everyone that took the time to send cards, call, send flowers, and offer heartfelt condolences via texts, email or other forms of communication.
