Peter Aaron Dual
December 26th, 1975 - March 11th, 2023
A Life of Love
Peter Aaron Dual, aka "Aaron," aka "Pete," aka "Air Wog," aka "Arnie," aka "Dad" was born on December 26, 1975 to Dr. Peter Alfred Dual and Toni Irene Dual in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He was a son, father, brother, husband, and -most importantly- a child of Christ. He is survived by: his faithful and devoted mother, Toni Irene Dual; his sister, Nikki Averlee Dual; his brothers, Tony Ahmad Dual and Alfred Michael Dual; his son, Peter Ahmad Dual; his daughter, Sidney Rae Dual; and his former wife, Charlie Ann Oliver. He is also survived by a myriad of aunts, uncles, and cousins that love him. Additionally, he leaves behind an array of close friends, which he, over the years of his too-short life, made into family.
Peter grew up in San Diego, California, which was his forever home, the city that he passionately loved, exemplified by the "619" tattoo that he proudly donned. Over the years, he adventured to Philadelphia, PA, Cheney, WA, the greater Los Angeles area, Portland, OR, and Middleboro, MA; He always came home, smiling, to the 619.
Over the years, Peter graduated high school from Patrick Henry High School, went on to earn a certificate in computer systems, hold various jobs at the San Diego School District, as well as serving as a facilitator for a local drug and alcohol program and working as a security guard. His most important passion, however, was being a father to Ahmad and Sidney, who were his greatest sources of pride. He enjoyed watching them grow in athletics, arts, and academics, cheering them on with a Dual encouragement for excellence every step of the way.
When Peter's life so unexpectedly came to a close in March 2023, it became extraordinarily clear just how much he loved and was loved by all those that he called friends and family. As he was the most tender and sensitive heart of the Dual family, he was also the most special and dear soul to all of you. He made us laugh. He held us close, both literally and figuratively. He was our "ride or die." He will be greatly missed, each and every day, until we meet him again, in the presence of the Lord.
