In Loving Memory

Alejandro "Alex" Hernandez, born on November 6, 1959, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2025, surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with diabetes. A lifelong resident of Salinas, Alex spent all 65 years of his life in the community he loved.

He was a proud graduate of Palma High School and continued his education at Fresno State. Alex built a fulfilling career with the Internal Revenue Service, dedicating 28 years of service in both San Jose and Salinas before retiring. 

 

Alex married his true love Leticia "Letty" Macias, and together they raised four sons. He found immense joy in spending time with his grandchildren, playing bingo with his wife, and cheering for the San Francisco Giants and the San Francisco 49ers. His passion for giving back to the community led him to serve as President of Continental Little League while also supporting Atlantic Little League. Weekends were often spent cooking and barbecuing for his family creating cherished memories.

 

Alex is survived by his boys and their families. Hondo and wife Jocelyne; children, Julianne, Brielle, and Ava. Julian and partner Deanna; children Kayla, Maxwell, and Nathaniel. Gabriel and wife Maricela; children, Daija and Curious George. Damian and Sofia Iniguez; daughter Aleena. His Mother Gregoria Hernandez. Sisters Delia Bueno and Susie Hernandez. Brother Ramiro Hernandez Jr. and brother in laws John Macias and Tacos Martinez. 

 

Nieces and Nephews, Corina and Reyes Martinez and family, Lizzy and Ruben Gill and family. Che Martinez and Family.  Tony and Cristina Macias and Family, Veronica and Louie Ramirez and Family. Priscilla and Hector Castillo and Family, Sabrina Hernandez, Andrew Hernandez, Amanda Hernandez, Marcelino Bueno, Hector Bueno. and Cheppers. 

 

Preceded in death by Wife Leticia “Letty” Hernandez, Father Ramiro Hernandez, Brothers Andy and Tony and Dalia Hernandez. Sister in Laws Marina Martinez, and Betty Macias. Niece Kristina Perez.

 

His viewing will be Wednesday, March 12, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 pm followed by a prayer starting at 6:00 p.m. It will be followed by shared memories till 8:00 p.m. at Healey Mortuary
