Paul Sylvester Parker, 93, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, passed away on February 8, 2025. Paul was born on July 23, 1931, to Paul H. Parker and Dorothy Gookin in Boston, Massachusetts. Paul went into the Navy and served as an admin for 2 years and then moved forward in the Air Force for another 27 years and retired in 1979. Paul proudly served in the Korean War and Vietnam War.
Paul Parker was a man of his kind. Rarely do you come across a man who has had so many beautiful experiences in life due to his career and his loving family. One of the things Paul loved to do was take his children and grandchildren on camping and fishing trips in the beautiful Rainbow Falls of Colorado. He loved to travel in his motorhome all across the United States making the best meal wherever he went using his father’s chef knives as well. Paul also loved Willie Nelson and Frank Sinatra and has collected many records over the years. You could always find Paul with a big fat cigar and a pale ale, and if you wanted to join him during those times, then that meant joining him on his two a day walks as well, which he loved. Paul was a civil servant. Paul was a brother, father, husband, and pepaw to all who knew him, especially by his beloved granddaughter who cherished him.
Paul is proceeded in death by his two brothers, Sylvester Parker and Victor Parker.
Paul is survived by his wife, Ruther Davidson; children, Steven M. Parker, Dorothea A, Parker, Maureen M. Boyles, Amy M. Parker (wife Rebecca), and Mary Ellen (James) Podsedly; step-grandchildren, Deanna Wolfe (Mike), Denise Mako (Laszlo). Paul is also survived by his three beautiful granddaughters, Chelsea M. Boyles, Jordan M. Podsedly, and Jenna A. Podsedly; step-children, Michael Wolfe, Rachel Wolfe, Alexis Apodaca, and Dario Apodaca. He is survived by his sister-in-law, Debbie Parker, who was married to Sylvester Parker, and lastly, he is survived by many nieces and nephews.
