Linda Marie Parker
October 15th, 1946 - February 25th, 2025
Linda Marie Parker, age 78, of Boise, Idaho, peacefully passed away on February 25, 2025, surrounded by her loving family at Shaw Mountain Cascadia Nursing Facility due to natural causes.
Born on October 15, 1946, to Alvin Newsome Parker and Darlene (Horton) Parker. Linda was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Linda was known for her sweet and caring nature, a kindness that extended endlessly throughout her life. She touched many with her compassion and service. For nearly eight years, Linda served in various positions with the DAV Auxiliary, including as an officer. Linda was also a volunteer EMT in Kuna, Idaho. Where she served the community that she loved. She also spent 20 years working in the Patient Financial Services office at St. Luke's Medical Center before retiring. Even after retirement, she remained dedicated to giving back, volunteering for various organizations in the community.
Linda loved spending time with family and friends, always bringing joy to those around her. She had a passion for card and board games, crocheting, knitting, quilting, crafts, and painting. Whether at home or outdoors, Linda embraced life's simple pleasures and cherished the moments spent with loved ones.
She is survived by her three children: Darlene (Richard) Grunberg and Joann (Luke) Franklin, and son Timothy (Heather) Niehoff. Linda is also survived by her sisters Charlotte (Ronald) Shumaker, Loretta Sears (preceded in death by husband Kenneth), and Janet Sears (Ronald). Linda was especially proud of her seven grandchildren, who brought her immense joy.
Linda was preceded in death by her father, Alvin Parker; mother, Darlene Parker; and stepmother, Renee Parker.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2025. A viewing will begin at 10:00 AM, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, located at 2299 N. Five Mile in Boise. Interment will follow at 2:00 PM at the Meridian City Cemetery.
