John "Jack" J Pryor

John (Jack) Pryor succumbed to cancer after a valiant 15-year battle on February 26, 2025.  In his lifetime he achieved many accomplishments. Jack grew up in Neptune City, NJ where he was a Boy Scout and had volunteered as a firefighter.  He had lived many years in Lake Como, NJ. He resided in Punta Gorda, FL with his wife Deborah Kee Pryor.  He attended Neptune High school and Stockton State College.

Jack was a highly successful businessman.  He established and successfully operated Aqua Terra Environmental, an environmental consulting firm.  He was an active member of The Ancient Order of Hibernians where he rose to the rank of Florida State Historian.   In Charlotte County, FL he served as chairman of the Environmentally Sensitive Lands Oversight Committee.  He was also on the Historical Preservation Advisory Board and Canal Advisory Committee.

Jack traveled extensively in the USA, Europe and in his beloved Ireland. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He often could be found casting his line in the ocean at and around Belmar beach and various places in Sanibel.

Jack was a loving husband to Deborah Kee Pryor, a cherished son to Donald and Lena Pryor, beloved brother to Donna Pryor, Marilee (Donald) Pettit and Lisa (Steve) Koval); and he was a much-loved uncle. Jack had many long-standing friends in NJ and FL. Among them, his dear friend, Mike Ford.

Funeral services will be held in Punta Gorda at Charlotte Memorial on March 20 at 11AM.  A celebration of Life will take place in NJ in the Spring.
