Elizabeth "Bettie" Jane Cagliostro

Bettie was born on May 13th,1937. She attended and graduated from White Plains High School where she met her high school sweetheart, Robert. They married shortly after high school and began a family together. They had six children. William, Ronald,Laura,Robert Jr,Marion,and Michael. Bettie was a dedicated mother who also worked full time as a waitress for 30 years .Even with her busy lifestyle she always had time for her children , who were her pride and joy . In 1990,she retired and decided to return to school at Westchester Community Collega in Valhalla, New York, where she earned her associates degree in Social Work. She decided to continue to work as a caregiver for the elderly and those with special needs .
Bettie enjoyed spending time with her children and 13 grandchildren. She loved the time she had with her friends and took great pleasure in going on lunch dates with them. She also dedicated her time to the local animal shelter
Bettie relocated to Las Vegas , Nevada in 2017 to be closer with her two youngest children Marion and Michael and their children . She was diagnosed with Lung Cancer in 2022. Her children gave her amazing care throughout her battle . Marion and Michael were her main caretakers because they were located close to Bettie . Her other children visited often and were dedicated to overseeing her health issues and making sure she received the best care possible
On February 24th, 2025, she lost her battle with Canccer . did not want a funeral , instead the family is having a celebration of life in Silver Lake , New York by where she grew up and raised her family with husband of 50 years , Robert .
