Deanna "Deannie" Howell Ernst
March 24th, 1945 - February 21st, 2025
- Deannie was born in Charleston, SC. on March 24, 1945 to the parents of Dean Joseph Howell and Lois Elizabeth Snider. She died suddenly on February 21, 2025 - complications of pancreatic cancer.
- Deannie is survived by her husband of 44 years, Larry Ernst; brother Russ Howell; her daughters Dana Ellis and Lesley Ernst.
- Deannie had a variety of jobs throughout her life that included waitressing, telephone operator, she earned her LPN degree and worked in several hospitals in South Carolina. After she and Larry married August 25, 1980 in Allendale, SC. they moved to Boulder, CO. She trained and received her EMT Certification and volunteered with the Boulder Emergency Squad.
- She studied the Bible with Jehovah's Witnesses and was baptized December 17, 1988. She had the kindest and most generous heart a soul could have, she would have given the shirt off her back if it would have helped someone in need! She confessed that she was a shy person but would share the Good News of God's Kingdom to any who would listen.
- Deannie loved going to Christian Conventions and Assemblies, group gatherings and of course her Friday night pinochle games with her friends. She had a southern charm and wit about her that everyone loved!
- She will be dearly missed!!
