Glenn "Paul" Saltsman
December 24th, 1942 - March 2nd, 2025
Glenn Paul Saltsman, 82, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 2, 2025, at the E.L. Wilkinson Residential Facility.
Born on December 24, 1942, in Fonda, a son of the late Glenn L. and Harriet (Musgrave) Saltsman. A lifelong resident of the area, Paul worked at Karg Bros in Johnstown for many years and then went to work at Temper Corp in Fonda until he retired.
Paul was a member of the Fulton County Antique Car Club; he owned several antique cars and tractors which he showed at the area car shows. He enjoyed the outdoors, working on his farm and hunting.
On September 15, 1961, Paul married his loving wife, Maria Leotta, who passed in 2013.
Survivors include his children, Jennifer Carelli (Pete), Kurt Saltsman (Ginny) and Nancy Saltsman (Brad); grandchildren, Shannon Mills, Brett Mills (Courtney), Courtney Frederick (Tyler) and Dr. Alexandra Gieseler (Kyle); great-grandchildren, Mackenzie Cerny, Myla and Layla Frederick; brothers, Gerald Saltsman (Beatrice) and Leslie Saltsman (Jean); several nieces and nephews.
Besides his wife and parents, Paul was predeceased by his sister, Ila Bortell; brother and sister-in-law, Arnold and Pat Saltsman; daughter-in-law, Sharon Saltsman and his granddaughter, Jennifer Mills.
The family would like to thank the second-floor nurses and staff at Wilkinson Residential Healthcare Facility for their care, kindness and support over the last two years.
Calling hours for Paul will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2025, from 10am until 12noon, where a funeral service will be held at 12noon. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Fonda.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Montgomery County SPCA, 1232 St. Hwy. 5s, Amsterdam, NY, 12010.
